First Fit of Step

After cutting the holes with a holesaw (go slowly here, you can sure do some damage with a holesaw if it gets away from you), this was the trial fit of the step. You can see the plate on the step is not flat against the skin. This means we need to remove some material from the web of the outboard baggage rib, as well as enlarge the hole through the skin. The excess weld material affects the fit here also. No problem, just start removing a little material at at time until you get the plate flat against the skin.
