This is a blind rivet installed in the side of the fuselage. The location is called out in the plans. Some builders install a regulation static port purchased for $17.00 from Aircraft Spruce or some other supplier. I feel comfortable with this installation. Be sure to carefully run a drill bit through the hole after you punch the mandrel out to eliminate any stragglers. |
