Vent Line and Fuel Tank Attach Bracket Reinforcing Angle
 

This shows the .125" aluminum angle reinforcing bracket that sits opposite the steel tank reinforcing brackets.  You can see that the -3 bolts face outward.  After all the holes are backdrilled through this angle, the rivets get set, then the steel tank bracket gets mounted to the bolts.  Although the fuel tank vent line looks crimped in this photo, it breathes just fine.
