I used a straightedge to mark a horizontal reference line all the way across the panel to measure instrument and switch placement. I also squared everything off of this reference line. The location of the line seemed like a natural because it is a repeatable point to lay a line across. The square in the photo is laying on the line and provides a reference for squaring up the instrument mounting hole drill template. |
